What Brings You Joy At Work?

Dear Uncommon Leaders,

This week we will focus on what activities bring you fulfillment at work. Fill your bucket this week!

Your Sunday Nugget

This Week's Question:

What activities bring you joy at work?

This Week's Challenge:

Any job will produce stress and frustration but if we are not experiencing any joy while at work, that’s a problem. When we operate within our strengths with a team of people that we are aligned with, there should be some joy we experience along the way. In periods where I have had less fulfillment, less fun or joy at work, most often the reasons were self-inflicted. Perhaps it's that I have said yes to things I shouldn’t have, or maybe I haven’t been as intentional with how I spend my time, and so on.

If you are experiencing less satisfaction at work, some solutions are likely within your control. This week your challenge is to evaluate how you spend your time at work. Do you intentionally include some of those activities that “fill your bucket?"

This Week's Quote to Ponder:

"Joy does not simply happen to us. We have to choose joy and keep choosing it every day." - Henri Nouwen

Until next week,
