Leadership Presence: Why Do Words Matter? [Voice, Part 2]
Dear Uncommon Leaders,
We are continuing our series on “Leadership Presence” and I hope this topic has been been helpful to you. Let's keep it going this week as we focus on our "Voice," Part 2.
Remember, your leadership presence matters. You have influence, so be uncommon!
Have a great week!

This Week's Question:
Do you choose your words carefully or do they sometimes just fly out of your mouth?
This Week's Challenge:
Last week we talked about things like the tone and volume of our voice as leaders. This week, I want us to focus on the words we choose.
Our language is important. Some of the worst conversations I have been involved in happened because I did not put thought into my words. Likewise, some of the most effective crucial conversations I’ve had resulted from carefully planning my words.
We’ve all probably worked with someone whose words just recklessly fly out of their mouth. If you want to have professional “Leadership Presence,” you have to make sure that doesn’t happen.
Choose your words intentionally for impact and results. The wrong words can do damage and the right words can cause our teams to think and potentially change behavior.
This week your challenge is to evaluate your words. Choose effective, professional language that can help lift your team to new heights.
This Week's Quote to Ponder:
“Always be sure to taste your words before you spit them out. Words matter!" -Quotes Everlasting
Until next week,
LET'S GO BE UNCOMMON!
