Delegation Evaluation

Dear Uncommon Leaders,

I hope each of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and a nice, full weekend. The holidays are now in full swing! 🎄

Tomorrow we start the final month of the year. How do you plan to finish the year?

Finish well, Leaders! 👏👊 Have an uncommon week!

This Week's Question:

When a task is complete, do you evaluate the quality of the outcome?

This Week's Challenge:

If you’re like me, your schedule is full, and you're moving fast. That often means finishing one thing and moving straight to the next—without stopping to evaluate what just got done.

But if we want to grow as leaders and help others grow, we must raise the bar.

We must evaluate outcomes—not just check things off our list.

This week, we wrap up our ACCE delegation model with the final “E”: Evaluate.

After a task is completed, take time to evaluate:

  • Was the result what you expected?
  • Did the team member give their best effort?
  • Was the right person chosen for the job?
  • What went well—and what could improve next time?

Evaluation raises standards. And raised standards build Uncommon teams.

Your challenge this week:
After you delegate something, follow through by evaluating the outcome, the effort, and the process. Then offer feedback that lifts everyone.

Excellence doesn’t occur just from doing—it comes from reflecting, evaluating, and adjusting.

See you next week!

Let’s go be Uncommon.

This Week's Quote to Ponder:

"Inspection without action is just observation.” W. Edwards Deming

Until next week,

LET'S GO BE UNCOMMON!
