Embracing the Challenges
Dear Uncommon Leaders,
Hope you've all had a great weekend and are ready for another uncommon week! Remember to embrace every stretch of the journey!
Your Sunday Nugget
This Week's "Camino Lesson:"
There is a lot of variety in the stretches of life we walk.
This Week's Challenge:
When I have walked the Camino, each section is different. Some stretches are flat and smooth and some are rocky and hilly. Some have many little towns along them which are interesting, and other stretches are barren and lonely.
I remember one long stretch walking by myself that I thought would never end. It went up and down and was very challenging. I couldn’t wait for it to be over. Plenty of other stretches though were easy, sunny and filled with fun.
Stretches in our lives are the same way, aren’t they? Some are invigorating, peaceful and fulfilling. Others… well, they can just suck and feel like they’ll never end. What I believe is that those long, hard stretches, while no fun, aren’t wasted. We grow during them. Our capacity for challenges in the future increases.
Your challenge is to try to be grateful for the challenging stretches. They are part of your story and your growth. Embrace your challenge this week!
This Week's Quote to Ponder:
