The Pace of Change
Dear Uncommon Leaders,
I hope you all had a great weekend. Challenge yourselves this week!
As always, go be uncommon! ⤴️
This Week's Question:
How are you handling the pace of change happening around you?
This Week's Challenge:
Things are moving quickly — AI, new tools, new goals, new systems and processes can lead to new challenges. As a leader, it can feel like we’re always trying to catch up. But great leaders don’t just react to change—they slow down long enough to think clearly, make smart decisions, and help others do the same.
Things have changed so much throughout my career. I remember having to memorize menu prices, product descriptions and do math in my head to count change back. Wow! So glad technology has helped with some of that.
Things feel like they’re changing faster than ever and to stay relevant, we need to keep up. To keep up, we need awareness and focus.
Your challenge this week: Pick one area where things are changing fast—at work, school, or in life—and take 15 minutes to think about how you’re responding.
Are you reacting, or are you leading? Write down one area of change where you need to apply more focus.
Even when the pace of change is fast—pause, think, and lead.
This Week's Quote to Ponder:
“Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.” John F. Kennedy
Until next week,
