Recovering Wasted Time

Dear Uncommon Leaders,

Happy new week! As you prepare to start fresh again, continue to be intentional over your time this next week.

Have an uncommon week, Leaders!

This Week's Question:

Where are you consistently wasting time?

This Week's Challenge:

We all waste time—it just looks different for each of us.

For me, I can lose time checking the news online—sometimes multiple times a day. Other times, it’s scrolling on my phone without any real purpose. I’ve also wasted time trying to solve problems solo, when asking for help would’ve sped things up; and sometimes I waste time by failing to delegate effectively—doing things someone else could (and should) be doing.

Unlike money, time can’t be earned back. You can hustle to recover lost dollars, but once time is gone, it’s gone for good.

For leaders, this matters more than ever. How we manage our time sets an example for others. It also determines how much we grow, lead, and serve.

So here’s your challenge for the week:

Identify one way you're consistently wasting time—and commit to a boundary or new habit that helps you reclaim it.

Can you win back just one hour this week?

Next week, we’ll look at how to invest your time. Until then—use your time well.

This Week's Quote to Ponder:

“Significant wasted time leads to wasted potential.”

Until next week,

LET'S GO BE UNCOMMON!
