Putting It Into Action
Dear Uncommon Leaders,
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend! This week, be intentional and be uncommon in your leadership.
Have a great week!
This Week's Question:
What have you applied from the last book you read or podcast you listened to?
This Week's Challenge:
I recently met someone during a workshop who gives a keynote titled:
“Read Less, Apply More.”
That line stopped me in my tracks.
It made me reflect on how often I move quickly from one book or podcast to the next. While fresh content keeps me engaged, real transformation doesn’t come from consuming—it comes from applying.
What if we slowed down and chose just one insight to apply to our life or leadership after each piece of content?
I believe applying one lesson well can be more transformational than skimming through ten without taking action.
Your challenge this week:
Go back to the last book or podcast that spoke to you. Pick one takeaway—and put it into action.
👉 For me, I recently went back to The Advantage by Patrick Lencioni. This line stuck with me:
“If you could get all the people in an organization rowing in the same direction, you could dominate any industry.”
I realized I needed to recommit to better alignment across my team—clarifying goals and making sure everyone was pulling in the same direction. That became my one thing to apply.
Now it’s your turn.
What’s your one thing?
Let’s go be Uncommon.
This Week's Quote to Ponder:
"Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do."Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Until next week,
LET'S GO BE UNCOMMON!
