What is a “defining moment” in your life that helped shape you?
I’ll never forget the day many, many years ago when my boss tossed me the keys to his restaurant and said, "Kevin, you’re in charge tonight; I’m going home.” This brief, simple act indicated that he believed in me which challenged me to make sure I did my best. It gave me confidence that I could become a leader.

Reflecting is helpful but most of us rarely do it. Your challenge this week is to take a few minutes to reflect on "defining moments" in your life that helped shape who you are and then share the story with someone. Our stories can be a significant source of influence.
