How do you stay present in the blur of the season?

For most of us, this time of year moves fast—places to go, people to see, goals to hit, sales to fulfill.

Over the years as a Chick-fil-A Operator, I remember the blur of the holiday season all too well. And if I’m honest, I often failed to stay present during the rush. It’s easy to do—not just in December, but all throughout the year.

As leaders, we get consumed by what we need to do and who we’re responsible for. But in that rush, we can miss the actual moments that matter—whether with our team, our friends, or our families.

Recently, I’ve been working hard not just to work, but to soak in life.To be where my feet are. To pay attention. Because even in the busiest or most challenging seasons, there’s always something to be grateful for—if we look for it.

Your challenge this week:

Slow down. Just for a moment. Be aware of the space you're in, the people around you, and the beauty right in front of you. Even in the chaos, there’s often a quiet gift waiting to be noticed.
