What Drains Your Energy?
Dear Uncommon Leaders,
Hope you’re off to an uncommon start in 2025! 👏
Challenge yourselves this week!
Your Sunday Nugget
This Week's Question:
What or who is currently draining your energy?
This Week's Challenge:
Effective leadership requires energy and lots of it. My leadership effectiveness is related to the energy in my tank. Sometimes there are consistent “drains” that reduce my levels of energy. These drains can be things like:
- A recurring problem
- Tasks that don’t align with my strengths or my role
- People that consistently inject drama, a victim mentality or repeated failure into the workplace
It’s best that we deal with these issues so our energy returns.
Your challenge this week is to privately identify the energy drains in your world.
Next week we’ll focus on what to do about them.
P.S. We also need to ensure we aren’t being energy drains for someone else!
This Week's Quote to Ponder:
“Effective leadership requires energy.”
Until next week,
LET'S GO BE UNCOMMON!
