Looking Through Customer Eyes
Dear Uncommon Leaders,
Happy Easter, all! We hope you have a wonderful time today with your families and loved ones.
As you head into the week, be inspired to look at things in a fresh and new way.
Have a great week ahead and enjoy this very special day!
Your Sunday Nugget
This Week's Question:
How often do you look at your business through your customers’ eyes?
This Week's Challenge:
We all can get blind to what the customer sees because we become so familiar with the environment we’re in every day. Immunity to what the customer sees and hears is something we need to avoid if we want to elevate the hospitality experience. Some questions to consider are:
- What do my customers look at when they enter our property?
- What do they see from their side of the counter when they watch our staff work?
- What are they hearing from our team conversations?
Your challenge this week is to put yourself in the customers' shoes. Look at the business from their perspective. Get in the car and go through the drive-thru. Stand and observe from their side of the counter and document what you see and hear. You might be surprised how much you learn.
This Week's Quote to Ponder:
“The only way to know how customers see your business is to look at it through their eyes.” Daniel R. Scoggin
